Cosmic Hammerdrill METEOR VORTEX Reveal New Single ”Ultraspeed” + Official Animated Music Video

A power trio specialising in delivering instrumental, psychedelic jams that leave you floating in a colourful infinite mood after being washed down by a shower of space rocks, METEOR VORTEX of Kouvola, Finland, are set to release their second studio album titled “Ignition Sector” on the 5th of May via Kozmik Artifactz.

“Ultraspeed” which, as the title suggests, represents a more fast-paced and compact section of the meteor-vortex-spectrum is now realeased as a single off of their upcoming album. This jam is now available as an animated music video for your enjoyment and inspiration, perhaps when work on your current personal cosmic maintenance project is about to take off to new heights.

Although you might have not noticed it yet, METEOR VORTEX have trusted in their instrumental, psychedelic space rock recipe for well over six years. Indeed, the cosmic soup that the band’s music is, takes time to brew right and for the atmospheric flavours to churn into the sound that, when properly tuned into, has the ability to reveal previously unknown portals to alternative musical dimensions.

The forthcoming release was already recorded way back in the summer of 2020 at the Tonehaven Recording Studio by Tom Brooke, the same dude who was responsible for the band’s first album Spiraled Beyond The Reach. For this reason, the forthcoming realease can be seen and heard as a seamless continuation and a complement to the first album.

Bassist J. Silander: “It has been a slow and not even always that sure process, after the recording sessions, to finalise the record. Fortunately, now we have a ripe and well cured album in our hands. We’ve actually been joking around about Ultraspeed, since it was born and thanks to its length, to be our first piece eligible for radio play.”

METEOR VORTEX will be playing a release gig as part of Vastus Klubi event at Lepakkomies, Helsinki on the 5th of May, accompanied by Seremonia and 3rd Trip.
