Sapata is a Finnish progressive heavy doom metal band based in Tampere, Finland. Formed in 2014, the group has released one full length album Satanibator (2017) and an EP Reflections (2018). Sonically related to bands such as Warning and Khemmis, Sapata’s trademark is their heavy, hypnotic sound, created by crushing riffs, weighty grooves and mesmerizing vocals.
Known for their immersive live shows, the band has toured Finland together with actslike Ajattara and 1000mods and toured Europe together with Black Royal.
Set to release their new album in 2021, No Sun To Embrace brings Sapata’s vastcharacter out more intense than ever. In it’s dramatic beauty and wholeness, No Sun To Embrace is a step deeper into a dark atmosphere, as themes span from landscapes and dreams to death and beyond. For fans of Swallow The Sun, The Ocean and Cult of Luna, No Sun To Embrace is a new wind of atmospheric metal.
