IAmber’s New Single Contemplates The Circular Nature Of Time
Over a decade since IAmber’s launch from Turenki, Finland, their voyage is set to continue on the 12th of August with the release of their third LP Mercurial Shakes.
Central themes of the record revolve around the cyclic and repeating nature of Time and Life as well as the long-standing and ever more manifesting change in Nature’s state on our planet. The band’s stern post-rock soundscape is complemented by sturdy ambient and sludge-like influences that reverberate from this ensemble.
As the first appetiser for things to come, the song Atomist – representing the more atmospheric and contemplative side to this album – is now being served.
“This song has certain apocalyptic moods to it that can be heard through-out the album, as well as contemplations on the historic cycles of human activity, which seem to again and again drive us into corresponding states of foolishness and horror,” the singer and guitarist Olliveikko Silvonen reflects on the song’s message.
